In an age of street style mania, a layered black dress gives off a playful yet edgy vibe and easily gets a nod of approval from the fashion crowd.
A lot of gals shy away from layers and ruffles for fear of adding volume, understandably so. This dress is so lightweight with just the right amount of flounce and literally no volume.
It’s safe to say we’ve somehow survived another Winter and are being cheered up by pretty cherry blossoms springing up every which way we look, meaning the switching of sartorial gears is upon us yet again. Much as I am excited to see gardens and streets brimming with color, I do miss the colder Winter weather.
A lightweight piece like this is just what the doctor ordered as the Winter layers are starting to come off. It prides itself in offering a perfect balance between being dark enough to pass as a Winter piece yet light enough for Spring’s easy breezy mild weather.
All in all, it's a great transitional piece.

I could have worn this dress lose but I belted it because I’ve lost a ton of weight lately just from eating healthier and I’ll be telling you all about how I did it in a few weeks. Look out for that especially if you’re looking to adopt / maintain a healthy lifestyle and get your summer body on.
This dress was kindly sent to me by the amazing folks at The Kemist but all opinions are mine. Every piece from this store makes me want to reach out for a hat, the full proof way to add edginess to a look. I couldn’t decide on a fedora or a boater so I shot both.
Which is your favorite?
My boot laces were untied for an effortless finish.
My Birthday Week
Oh and I’m super excited because my born day is coming up on this week on Thursday the 1st of March. It’s been a bit of an emotional week for me though as the Pisces season rolls in. But I'm excited and looking forward to a great great week!
Jumps of joy, my birthday is around the corner!
