World experts and dieticians have said that the GM Diet is the fastest and best way to lose weight in a week. It is said that if done properly, it can help to lose up to 7-8 kgs in a week. Well, before I speak about GM Diet plan, let’s understand what a GM Diet plan exactly is.

What is a GM Diet plan?
Well, let’s start this with the full form of GM Diet. GM Diet is actually General Motors Diet which is done in a span of 7 days to lose weight up to 7-8 kgs. GM Diet was actually developed by General Motors which aimed at maintaining the fitness and health of their workers and employees. Ever since the GM Diet was followed by their workers, it became the latest trend in the market for being the fastest way to lose weight.

Well, if you want to lose weight in just one week (complete 7 days), here we mention the complete diet plan to follow.

1. Day One

Because it is the first day of your diet, you can eat all types of fruits except banana. Banana contains a lot of calories, proteins, and potassium which can cause trouble and discomfort on the first day of your diet. Instead, you should consume a lot of water-rich fruits so that it helps to maintain the level of water in your body, thus keeping your body hydrated. Consume lots of apples, oranges, watermelons, mango, etc. as per your limit so that it provides sufficient amount of vitamins and proteins to your body. Water-rich fruits will also help to keep your stomach filled for a long period of time.

2. Day Two

On the first day, you should eat lots of fruits, while the second day of diet contains no fruits. You should consume lots of vegetables, whether in cooked or raw form. You should limit the consumption of potato to the breakfast and not include it in your dinner or lunch. Consumption of potato should be restricted to once in a day since you are already getting proteins and carbs from fruits and veggies.

3. Day Three

Day three is a blend of first and second-day diet. The third day starts with fresh fruits and veggies together. You should eat a lot of fruits and veggies as per your choice. Fruits and veggies contain a lot of anti-oxidants, vitamins, fibre, protein and potassium which are required to maintain a healthy body. This will help the body to burn the extra calories which got accumulated after consuming junk food. Again, you should prevent consuming oil-fried veggies or potatoes.

4. Day Four

Well, if you are a banana lover, day four is for you! This day is all about banana and milk in your diet. You should not eat any fruits or veggies on this day. In fact, you should gorge on skimmed milk and carb-rich bananas. Prevent consuming more than 6 glasses of milk and 8 (small) bananas on this day. Overeating can cause discomfort in your digestion system and may also cause gastric problems. You can have one bowl of vegetable soup in your dinner. Consuming vegetable soup can help to keep your bowel system healthy and also curb excessive hunger pangs. You should prefer having skim milk. Bananas are rich in potassium and sodium, while milk can provide the right amount of calcium to the body.

5. Day Five

Day five starts with one bowl of chicken or vegetable soup of your choice. You can consume water-rich fruits such as watermelon, oranges, cucumbers, etc. in your lunch. If you feel hungry, you can have some raw tomatoes to keep your stomach full for a longer period. Tomatoes are rich in water content and fiber, which can help in flushing out the toxins from your body. Non-vegetarians can have one chicken breast along with some cooked veggies in lunch.

Day six starts with two glasses of fruit juice in your breakfast so that it prepares your body for weight loss. Later, you can have lots of chicken breast, chicken soup, fishes or beef in your lunch. Limit yourself to one bowl of cooked vegetable in the dinner. You should prevent including tomato and potatoes in the sixth-day diet, as you will get sufficient amount of protein and iron from meat. If you are a vegetarian, you can replace the chicken breast with paneer. Have 10-12 glasses of water as it will help to keep your body hydrated.

7. Day Seven

The last day of the diet includes lots of fruits, veggies, and an unlimited quantity of chicken breast. You can include any kind of sprouts in your last day of diet as well. Add one or two tomatoes in your regular meal, along with one boiled potato as it is both tasty and nutritious. It is advised to have lots of cucumber, watermelon and chicken breast during the day to enjoy effective weight loss results. Including sprouts in your diet can help in flushing out the impurities from your body, thus keeping your system healthy and strong.
