Prosecutor-Cum-Defendant

He broke out on FX’s The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story, and, now, Sterling K. Brown is going big.

To the big screen.

The actor is set to play Joseph Spell, a high-profile defendant of former Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall, in Marshall, a new biopic in the making.

Spell was a worker from Louisiana in Connecticut who, back in 1941, stood trial for the – yikes – rape and attempted murder of a wealthy Greenwich socialite.

Captain America: Civil WarChadwick Boseman is playing Marshall, and he will be defending Brown in this new project with Josh Gad, who has landed the role of young Sam Friedman, a young Jewish lawyer with whom the real-life Marshall teamed up for the task, thus creating a most polarizing partnership in that time and age.

Alright, this...and then a hot rom-com for Brown, OKRRR.
